Synopsis: Gustav and Oskar are twin brothers, yet about as different as two people can be. Fifty three separate scenes in chronological order feature the brothers as they grow up, from the ages of nine to nineteen.
Twin Brothers, 53 Scenes From a Childhood is a film about leaving childhood behind. About the secrecy, openheartedness and pain that childhood involves, along with its many wonders.

Directors comment: Each of the 53 scenes making up this film are chosen for their distinct merit. Moving beyond traditional portrayals of childhood by rejecting the framework of an overriding story has been my objective. Instead, the scenes are like snapshots in a family album – images that capture the moment while, in context, also demonstrate the passing of time. Life is not a story. It’s a collection of moments and events.
